A man in the UK recently ate half a cup of what he thought was yogurt – it turned out to be green paint. Classic mix up here. Paint. Yogurt. Same difference…right?
This reminds me of the time I saw my dad eat beef jerky. I watched him tear open the little “do not eat” packet – and sprinkle it over the jerky! He thought it was a seasoning packet. He says he never noticed “DO NOT EAT” in bold letters on the sachet. After that, we did two things:
- We made him promise to stop eating silica gel.
- We told him he needs to read all packaging a little closer in the future.
Have you (or someone you know) ever ever “accidentally” eaten something – thinking it was something else? What was it? How much did you choke down before you figured it out.
