Friends’ of ours are having their first baby and she’s given her baby bump a name.  She calls it: SHRIMP.

She came up with that name because the first time she saw the lil’ one on an ultrasound – it looked like a shrimp from a shrimp cocktail. They don’t know the sex of the baby – so that’s what they call her baby bump.

I’m hoping that nickname doesn’t carry on after that little one is born.

She’s not alone in naming the bump.  An informal study found that the top baby bump name is: BEAN
