Is taking a piece of fruit off of your neighbors tree stealing?

If The Princess and I need a lemon or lime for something – I just take ’em from a guys tree that hangs over a wall near our house.  It’s just a couple here and there.  Like last night we were having some a couple G & Ts…so I took a little stroll and plucked a few off the tree.

In my defense, I don’t do it all the time and it’s usually only one….or two….okay – I’ve take up to 4 in one go – but that’s only when we’re having people ’round.  I’m not sure if that makes accessories to the crime?

Do you take fruit from your neighbor’s trees?

I cannot be the only one that does this.  Is this Lemon theft?  Or do I have the right to this low hanging fruit?
