We’ve had some great FREE shows come through the Fair this year and there are more to come – problem is, the place gets packed…FAST! People arrive 3 hours early to get the best seats in the house. But not only do they get their seat but they save seats for the other 3 – sometimes 7 – and even 14 people turning up to join them later. No joke. People are saving entire rows for concert goers to-be-named-later.
See, you’ve got your rear-end on that seat 3 hours before the show…shouldn’t the rest of your party have to be there too…it’s a FREE concert – there is no “assigned” seating – aren’t all the seats fair game until they’re filled? When someone says, “These seat’s are taken…and there’s nobody in ’em…are they REALLY taken?
Should you be able to save seats at a FREE concert? Should there be a limit to the number of seats you can sit a water bottle, bag of cotton candy or blanket on to reserve?
