When Your Child Uses His/Her Nose For Storage?

Friends of ours got to spend the evening at the emergency room when their three year old decided to stuff some beads up her nose.  The mother tried to get ‘em out but in the end

– the doctor was called upon to do the job.

He found not one – not two – but three beads up there.

When the child was asked why she did it – she replied, ”to see if they’d fit.”

If this happens in your home – there are a couple things you can try.  First let them try to blow it out.
If that doesn’t work – try the Mother’s Kiss Method:

  • Place your mouth over your child’s mouth.
  • Hold the nostril that isn’t blocked closed with a finger.
  • Blow gently into your child’s mouth.

It’s a technique used to dislodge items from kid’s noses since 1965. #Yikes

Has your child ever put something in their nose that shouldn’t oughta be there?  Were you able to retrieve it? Did you have to see a professional to get it out?

Lets hear your story.
