We bought a remote controlled robot for our friends’ kid. The Princess wrapped the toy…

and I told her she needed to wrap a package of batteries to go with it.
Then tells me, “Batteries are not a gift?”
To which I replied, “It’s one of the most important gifts!”
But it got me thinkin’…maybe that was just at my house. My momma would always wrap the “add-ons”. You got a remote controlled car – the next thing you’d open was a wrapped box of C cell batteries. New tape recorder – guaranteed the next gift would be the batteries followed by a package of blank tapes.
She may have wrapped every item so that we all had the same number of things to open on Christmas. I don’t know – but moms are sly like that.
Did your mom wrap batteries? Or was that just something that happened at the Jones House?
