Does an Engagement Ring Have To Be a Diamond? I just got a text from a buddy of mine asking me that.

He says he can get something that’s just as nice for half the price if he gets a stone – rather than a diamond.

I don’t know how to answer that. But try to imagine…

  • Him getting down on one knee…
  • Professing his love…
  • Asking you to marry him…
  • ….then he slides a lovely EMERALD on your finger!?

It’s no diamond solitaire…but hey – it was so cheap he was able to put a fat down payment on a new 4×4.
