Friends of ours have an 8 year old daughter – and they’re thinking about teaching her to

shave her legs.

She has dark hair and the poor thing is being made fun of at school. I thought 8 seemed a bit young…but I’m not a parent (I only play one on the radio).

However – I used to be a teacher and I know how brutal elementary school kids can be to each other.

Should an 8 years old be shaving her legs?

If it will stop these little jerks from picking on her – why not!  If you don’t agree – what’s an appropriate age? When did you let your daughter start shaving? How old were you when you started?
