Wait til you hear mine!

So my dad has been doing our family genealogy for the last year or so and HOLY COW, he has found some really interesting thing in our family history.

From civil war heroes to a few celebs, we have it all on my dad’s side and its amazing! Since, we have become bona fide members of First Families of Connecticut, Virginia, Pennsylvania etc. There is still one very coveted spot my dad has been trying to connect us to. Pirates!

So last night my dad texts me and says “Call me ASAP, please”. I immediately think, oh gosh, something has happened. When he picks up the phone he is laughing, and he says you’re not gonna believe this…we are related to Edward Treach AKA BLACKBEARD!!!!

From this point on I will only answer if you say “Ahoy Matey”…just kidding, but still, how cool is that?!
