So let me describe a man I saw today. He was wearing Carhart pants, a white shirt, work

boots and a beat up trucker’s cap. He was carrying logs from a tree that had been cut down (unless he just tore it out of the ground). He carried these giant logs to his old pick-up truck where he was tossing them into the back.
FYI … these logs were huge – it looked like a two man job and he’s doing it by himself…not to mention was 92 degrees outside today.
It made me feel less of a man within the 20 seconds it took me to drive by him. I sit here in a cozy studio (that is sometimes too chilly depending on what the AC is set on) playing records.
My father was a lobster fisherman – my grandfather was a pipe fitter – and my great grandpa worked on a railroad.
~ Do you work a manly job? What is it? What makes it manly?
