What was your baby’s first word?

A couple of parents out of the UK claim that their child’s first word was…wait for it – wait for it…

ALEXA

That’s right.  Not Mama.  Not Dada.  He said, “Alexa”.  Instead of saying the names of his parental units he blurted out the name of a machine.

So this baby is either really tech savy or his mother and father are calling upon their Amazon Assistant waaaaaaay much.  I don’t know if this behavior is sad or just a sign of the times.  Or maybe it’s a sad sign of the times…I don’t know.

What was your child’s memorable “first word?” Or maybe someone else in the family who blurted out a first word that was so silly it’s now family lore?
