Are Dyed Eggs Safe To Eat?

Kind of like the real or fake Christmas Tree question…real or fake eggs for Easter? Personally I love to color Easter Eggs with my kids but we don’t usually use those for the Egg Hunt. I get the Dollar Store plastic eggs and fill them with jelly beans. Realizing chocolate doesn’t work so well! But I just feel weird about eating eggs that have sat out in the sun all day. We’ve had chickens growing up but the eggs weren’t out in the sun baking. I went searching on Good Housekeeping, here’s what they had to say.
