After putting together countless pieces of furniture, toys, swing sets, and more furniture over the years I come to the conclusion that sometimes it’s worth the $50 assembly fee.

Not to say that I can’t do it, NO… it’s not that. It’s just that sometimes I can’t bear the frustration of missing parts, stripped screws and the endless stream of curse words that flow from my frustrated attempts to construct something that looks nice in a photo, but feels like cheap wood. I guess that’s what happens when you try to save a buck.

Needles to say when my family sees me come home with a “Project”, they head for the hills! If they gave out awards for the most creative mumbled expletives, I’d probably be able to fill these new shelves with trophies.

However, after all is said and done, there is a prideful sense of accomplishment … and a couple of Advil that get washed down with a cold beer.
