New Johnny Cash Music From Brad Paisley And The Late Chris Cornell!

If you could have any artist put an album together about your life, who would it be?

New music from Johnny Cash, done by Brad Paisley and Chris Cornell? Yes please! But this is so much more than just covering “The Man In Black’s” songs. This album is a collection of poems that Johnny wrote during his life, some dating back to when he was a kid. This is much more personal than just songs. We write poems to reflect on what our life is like at that moment in time. I think this album is going to give us an inside look at Johnny’s personal life, the real Johnny that nobody knew. His son, John Carter Cash, collected his father’s poems to share with us. It’s also going to be spooky though to hear Chris Cornell on the album after his recent passing. Thankfully, Chris had recorded one of Johnny’s poems before his death, we just don’t know which one. On so many levels I think this collection of music is going to be really deep and surprising and I can’t wait to hear it. A release date has not been set. But you can get Brad Paisley’s contribution also on his latest album out now titled, “Love and War.”

My question to you is, “If you could have any artist(s) put an album together based on your life, who would it be?”

I know mine would have to include Miranda Lambert to cover all the crazy angry girl moments I’ve had. Kenny Chesney can sing about all the Corona I’ve lived through. Tim Mcgraw just because he’s a good lookin’ man who’s music was a big part of my teenage memories. Can’t forget George Strait, to sing about the awesome life of being a cowgirl…or in his case, a cowboy.
